Musings on traveller v tourist

I’m re-blogging someone else’s blog piece here, because she says it just as well as I can, and I’ve added my comments at the bottom anyway.

The divide between ‘traveller’ and ‘tourist’ seems to me to be an entirely artificial construct, created by those who feel the need to be better than everyone and so a second category must be created for them to look down upon, with a somewhat ‘holier-than-thou’ attitude.

In my view, unless you have a postal address there, you’re a tourist. Get over it.

Please do add your comments. I’d be interested to know what others think on this point.
